All You Need to Know About Quiz Images

Images are what set the new school quizzes apart from the old school quizzes. We always recommend taking advantage of adding images for results, questions, and answers. People relate to images much more than words. Quizzes that use images get 50% more views than those that don’t! If you simply can’t find great looking images, don’t use any. Bad images will hurt your quiz more than no images at all. Follow these tips when finding the perfect image:

  • Use hi-resolution photos but make sure the file size is not too large for optimal loading
  • Use text over photos to draw attention
  • Include photos with faces
  • Stay away from blurry or fuzzy photos
  • Use the crop tool to single out the most important part of your image
  • Always use images that are relevant to your subject matter.

Below are minimum image requirements.

All images must be under 2MB.

Title, Result, and Question Images: Min. 460 x 230px  Aspect Ratio: 2:1

Answer Image: Min. 125 x 125px  Aspect Ratio:1:1

We always recommend using photos you own or have a license to. Sourcing photos that do not fall in either of those fields does not protect you from copyright laws.

There are many sites that offer royalty free images or inexpensive stock photos. Search the creative commons for public domain images or visit one of the helpful links below for royalty free images:
