Louisville Metro government had been pushing internet providers to provide complete and fair coverage to all areas of the Louisville community. They had anecdotal examples of poor internet service, but no real way to measure internet speeds across the city.
ContentTools was tasked with building an application that allowed consumers to test their internet speeds, whether they were at home, on a mobile device, or at work! We also allowed consumers to list their internet bills and intended MBPS. Once the speeduplouisville test calculated their download speed, we were able to plot all of that data on a map to help government officials identify areas of poor service!
